Dr. Maria McNally is a highly experienced Specialist Orthodontist and partner at the practice. She qualified in London in 1995 and went on to complete her specialist and consultant orthodontic training in Birmingham. With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. McNally has held roles at the Manchester Dental Hospital and continues to work in the hospital service one day a week, focusing on complex cases.
Dr. McNally has extensive experience treating some of the most challenging orthodontic cases and has trained many orthodontists and orthodontic therapists throughout her career. She is particularly passionate about interdisciplinary care, regularly collaborating with surgeons and restorative dentists to deliver comprehensive treatment plans and optimal outcomes for her patients.
Her commitment to excellence has been recognised through numerous awards, including the prestigious Aesthetic Dentistry Awards in 2014, 2015, and 2018, as well as the Invisalign Teen Award for Most Transformed Teen Smile in 2023.
A certified Invisalign provider, Dr. McNally has successfully treated over 700 cases and enjoys using Invisalign First for young children aged 7–10. She has experience managing complex cases—including impacted teeth and missing teeth—using aligner-based systems. She is also skilled in preparing patients for orthognathic (jaw) surgery, often using Invisalign to offer a discreet alternative before and after surgical procedures.
Within the practice, Dr. McNally works closely with oral surgeons, restorative dentists, and implant specialists, particularly on complex tooth wear and full-mouth rehabilitation cases that combine orthodontics with restorative care.
As a mentor for Invisalign, she actively supports other clinicians in improving their outcomes with aligners and stays at the forefront of innovations within the system—bringing the latest advancements directly to her patients.
